Pupil Support

Technical Support

If any pupil or parent is having issues accessing the resources, please visit the Hwb Support page. If you still experience issues, please get in touch with our IT Support Team by email at helpdesk@cwmtawe.org

Curriculum Support

For help and support with school work, pupils should ask their teacher for guidance from within Microsoft Teams.

If your child has Additional Learning Needs and you would benefit from having the work printed, SNAP Cymru have secured funding to facilitate this. Contact Sera Yorworth at SNAP Cymru for details.

Pastoral Support

If any pupil needs to speak to their Head of Year, or Assistant Head of Year, details are available on the contacts page.

Physical and Mental Health

As well as maintaining progress in their school work, it is essential that pupils also look after their physical and mental health and well being. Welsh Government has issued guidance to support families

It is important to try and set up a suitable study space and keep to good routines. Try and schedule a few hours in the morning to complete your school work, before doing other things.

As well as providing an education, we recognise that pupils gain a great deal from their social interactions with others. Children should make the effort where possible to stay in touch with friends, using digital technology.

Resources are available on Hwb to support mental health.

Action for Happiness is a useful resource to keep a positive mindset during these challenging times.

Public Health England have a useful guide for parents/carers on supporting their child's mental health.

If you are feeling stressed or anxious about anything, make sure you talk to someone.
